AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS SURGERY?

Short incision facelift are ideal for healthy women and men who are younger of 60 years of age and want to improve the early signs of aging, like the ones that appear on the cheeks, jaw and neck. Other procedures can be combined with this surgery such as eyelid surgery, skin rejuvenation or liposuction of chin and neck.

ADVANTAGES OF GETTING SHORT INCISION FACELIFT

Short incision facelift helps by:

• Smoothing your jowl
• Lifting the tissue of your face in a vertical way
• Treating folds of your nose and lips
• Eliminating saggy lower eyelids

There are fewer scars than in the traditional facelift due to the fact that the incision is shorter and it is done on the front part of your ears. THE RECOVERY OF SHORT INCISION FACELIFT

Even though you will be able to walk out after the surgery, the plan will be to rest the first week. You will be able to go back to work 10 days after the surgery in comparison with the recovery of 2 to 3 weeks of the traditional facelift. It is normal to feel your face numb for a couple of weeks to some months.

Avoid any vigorous activities for the first 3 to 4 weeks, including housework, intensive exercise (although you will be able to go walk and do some minor efforts).
